Alejandro Topete del Valle

He was born in the City of Aguascalientes, Mexico on July 17, 1908 and died on March 25, 1999. He was a historian, chronicler, writer and academic.He was also Secretary of the State Council of Public Education, director of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Museum of Aguascalientes. Member of the Mexican Society of Geography and Statistics, of the Astronomical and Geophysical Society, of the National Academy of History and Geography, as well as of the Mexican Academy of Genealogy and Heraldry. He was elected a corresponding member of the Mexican Academy of Language and was a member of the Seminary of Mexican Culture. He also joined the Academy of History of the West, the Mexican Society of Philosophy, the Aguascalientes Cultural Association and the Cultural Athenaeum of Aguascalientes. In 1944, he was appointed life chronicler of Aguascalientes.
