PhD in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. He is currently associate professor in the Department of Political Science and some of the Postgraduate Programs in Political Science and Public Policy at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil. Pereira is chief-editor of the Conjuntura Global Magazine, a Brazilian academic journal that publishes peer-reviewed articles on topics related to the fields of Political Science and International Relations, and has authored and published several academic articles in the area of International Relations. Moreover, he is coordinator of the Núcleo de Pesquisas em Relações Internacionais (NEPRI), at UFPR, in which he supervises undergraduate and graduate students who are developing academic research in the International Relations area.
