She is a professor and anthropologist graduated with honors from the Universidad del Magdalena. Her research interests include international development, social justice, education, gender, public policy, female empowerment, human rights, communication, among others. She is in the final year of his Master's in Public Administration at Cornell University in New York. For years she has volunteered with vulnerable communities. She has extensive experience in the public, cultural and political spheres of the Caribbean region.
