PhD in Social and Humanistic Sciences from the Center of Superior Studies of Mexico and Central America (CESMECA) at the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas. Master’s degree of Science in Natural Resources and Rural Development from El Colegio de la Frontera Sur and specialist in women’s studies at El Colegio de México. She has collaborated in qualitative research on poverty, sexual and reproductive rights, HIV/AIDS, violence gender and social violence.
