Ann Borsinger

PhD in Linguistics from the University of Glasgow. She received master’s degrees at the University of Bristol (Applied Linguistics), at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Social Sciences) and her bachelor’s degree at the University of Geneva. She currently teaches Discourse Analysis and Linguistics II at the Universidad Nacional de Río Negro, where she directs the Laboratory for the Studies of Literature, Language, its Learning and its Teaching. She was a visiting professor and researcher at national and foreign universities (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad de La Plata, University of Helsinki, among others). Her research focuses on the development of systemic functional linguistics in Spanish, French and English and she leads projects related to these topics. She has numerous national and international publications and received international grants, including the Overseas Research Scholarships Award from the UK governing committee.
