Astrid Lorena Perafán Ledezma

Ph.D. in Anthropology from Universidad del Cauca (Colombia, 2013), M.Sc. in Anthropology from the Université de Montréal (Canada, 2005) and anthropologist from the Universidad del Cauca (Colombia, 2001). Since 2008, she is a professor in the Anthropology Program at the Universidad del Magdalena (Colombia) where she has led a line of research on anthropology of health and food. Her doctoral dissertation is an ethnography of local interventions and adoptions of a series of food security programs focused on the cultivation of Andean seeds in the southwestern Andes of Colombia.
