Blanca Olivia Velázquez Torres is from Chiapas, with all her studies carried out in the public schools of the state. She is an initial training psychologist, a teacher in Psychopedagogy from the Autonomous University of Chiapas and a doctorate in Social and Humanistic Sciences from the Center for Higher Studies of Mexico and Central America of the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas. In addition, she is a feminist activist, with professional experience of more than 25 years in the area of gender violence and the emotional health of women.
