Candelaria Hernández Meléndez

Candelaria Hernández Meléndez is originally from Villa Comaltitlan on the Chiapas coast, where mangoes, cocoa and palm trees grow. She is the daughter of sowers, but over the years she has had to relearn many things about the land in the Highlands of Chiapas, experimenting with children, parents, colleagues, agroecologists and those interested in work in the orchards. She is a teacher graduated from the Normal Superior of Chiapas, and has been a teacher, advisor, director in charge and coordinator of projects. He attended the Laboratories for Life diplomas, which helped him not only to become aware of the care of the earth, food and the rescue of millenary knowledge in agriculture, but also to have tools to turn the School Garden into a methodology close to young people, in order to make real, little by little, education for life from life itself.
