Carmiña Navia Velasco

Bachelor’s degree in Letters (1970), Master’s degree in Linguistics (1976), and a Diploma in Language and Spanish Literature in Madrid (1978). She culminated her years as a student with an Master’s degree in Theology, at the Universidad Javeriana in 1998. She is a recognized poet, theologian, cultural activist, and feminist. Associated professor at the Department of Literary Studies in the Universidad del Valle. Specialist in Women writing; she works on the popular-feminine reading of the Bible, Theology and Feminine Spirituality. Her work has been translated into English, French, Portuguese and German. She is a pioneer in literary studies with gender approach in Colombia.
