Post-doctorate in Geography from the Federal University of Pará, Belém, Brazil (2018). PhD in Technical Sciences from the Universidad de Oriente UO, Cuba (2014). Master in conservation and rehabilitation of built heritage (2003), CUJAE, Havana and Master in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (2004), UO. Architect (1995). Titular Professor and Senior Researcher by Colciencias. Member of the Research Groups in Environmental Management and Sustainability (GESSA) and Coastal Marine Management (GeMarc). Active member of the Networks Iberoamerican Integrated Coastal Management (IBERMAR) and Management and Certification de Playas (PROPLAYAS). Coordinator of the Master in Development program Sustainable at the Universidad de la Costa, Barranquilla, Colombia. Prize National Academy of Sciences of Cuba in 2015.
