PhD in Social and Human Sciences and Master’s degree in Communication from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She has worked as a professor at the Faculty of Communication and Language in this university and the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Art from the Universidad Central (Colombia). She trained as a young researcher at the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies Pensar and carried out her Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Autonomous Metropolitan University, Iztapalapa, D. F., in the area of urban anthropology.
