Poet, essayist and translator. In 1982, she was awarded the Fulbright International Writing Program Fellowship at the University of Iowa and in 1998 the Translation Grant given by the Ministry of Culture of France. She has written eleven books of poems, among them Oficio de máscaras (1970) and Travesías (2016). She is the author of Alejandra Pizarnik. Una biografía (Corregidor, 1991) and a dozen books of literary criticism about the work of authors such as Néstor Perlongher, Amelia Biagioni, Marco Denevi, and Pizarnik.
