Edixon Quiñones Reyes

Doctor in Human Evolution Physical and Forensic Anthropology. He is a full professor at the Universidad del Magdalena, where he directs the Line of Deepening in Forensic Anthropology of the Master's in Anthropology; he is a precursor and coordinator of the Forensic Anthropology Laboratory; and founder and director of the Archeology, Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology Research Group (GIABAF). He was a professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the Universidad de Chile; taught classes in the Master of Forensic Medicine implemented by the Office for Missing Persons of ONU in Kosovo, in cooperation with the University of Coimbra-Portugal, and in the Master of Forensic Medicine at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia . At the ONU, he served as a forensic anthropologist in East Timor, and identification coordinator for the Office for Missing Persons in Kosovo. He worked as a forensic anthropologist for the TPIY in Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. He is the author of several publications on forensic anthropology and a founding member of the Latin American Association of Forensic Anthropology (ALAF).
