PhD in Portuguese Language from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Brazil; postdoctorate in Linguistics, having developed scientific research with emphasis on the literary text and the French semiotic. She teaches Portuguese Language, Portuguese Language Literature, Reading and Writing at primary and secondary education level and higher education, she teaches courses on Reading and Writing Practices and Research Methodology. On top of having published several book chapters and scientific articles in national and international academic journals, Terra is the author of more than 30 books and has actively participates in congresses, colloquia and seminars, in Brazil and abroad.
