Estanislao Giménez Corte (Santa Fe, 1973)
Doctor of Social Communication (National University of Rosario, 2018), Master of Communication Strategies Design (National University of Rosario, 2013) and Communication Studies Graduate (Catholic University of Santa Fe, 1997). He teaches at the National University of the Littoral (UNL) and Catholic University of Santa Fe (UCSF). He is also a writer and a journalist. He is currently working as an editor of opinion articles and a columnist of the Culture section for the newspaper El Litoral and also contributes to the weekly newspaper Mirador Provincial.
He is the author of the books Conversaciones junto al fuego (Conversations by the Fireplace); Ensayos (Essays) (UNL, 2018); Borges periodista. Usos de la metáfora en textos para la prensa (Borges Journalist. Uses of Metaphor for Press Texts) (Biblos, 2016); Miscelánea breve. Textos en prensa (Short Miscellany. Articles in Press) (UNL, 2014). He contributed to the collective book Premios a la creatividad 2002 (Creativity Awards 2002) (ANP, 2003).
In 2002, he was awarded the first prize in the Show Review Competition by the National Academy of Journalism.
He was the editor and compiler, together with María Alejandrina Argüelles, of the book Libro de los cien años del diario El Litoral (One Hundred Years of the newspaper El Litoral) (AGL, 2018).
Oceánica. Poemas aparecidos (Oceanic. Emerged Poems) (UCSF, 2019) is his first book of poems.
His doctoral thesis, Balas de tinta y fierros mediáticos. La metáfora conceptual como apropiación en el discurso de prensa (Ink Bullets and Media Weapons. The conceptual metaphor as appropriation in the press speech), is in editing.
He wrote the foreword to the books Política y religion. La carencia de espacios de representación política genuina de los cristianos en la democracia argentina en el período 1954-2015 (Politics and Religion: the lack of spaces for genuine political representation of Christians in Argentine democracy over the period 1954-2015), by Alejandro Francisco Mussachio (UCSF, 2017); Policiales (Crime Stories), by José Luis Pagés (UNL, 2017); and La última en llegar (The Last Woman to Arrive), by María del Pilar Barenghi (Temps era Temps, 2011). He has worked on radio, TV, print and digital media, and for publishing houses.
