Law degree and PhD in History of America from the University of Seville. Researcher in the historical archives of Ecuador and Europe. He has written about the history of the ancient forest landscapes in Ecuador, as well as a history of conservative thought. He has published: The Ancient Forest Landscapes of Ecuador; Description and Historical Sources of the Ancient Forests of Ecuador; Compendium of the Rebellion of America. Letters by Pedro Pérez Muñoz; The Republic of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Religion, Eschatology and Conservative Ethos in Ecuador. His articles have also been published in specialized journals.
