Francisco Camino Vela holds a PhD degree in History from University of Seville (2011), Spain and an MA degree in Latin American History from the International University of Andalucía, Spain. He is a tenured adjunct lecturer at the National University of Comahue and adjunct lecturer at the National University of Río Negro. He is a researcher member of the Patagonian Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences Studies (IPEHCS), CONICET, National University of Comahue. He is the Postgraduation Secretary, College of Humanities, National University of Comahue. He has published books and articles on the political and social history of Patagonia, with a special focus on the province of Río Negro. At present he carries out research and coordinates a research program on the transitions to democracy. He is co-director of the Socio-Historical Studies on Democracy Network (RESHIDE).
