Francisco de Vitoria

Spanish neo-scholastic theologian and one of the founders of the philosophical tradition called "Salamanca School". Known for his contributions to the theory of "Fair" War and as one of the creators of modern international law. He dedicated his late life to teaching, having as residence Salamanca. His teachings and pedagogical methods directly or indirectly influenced a large number of theologists, jurists and academics such as Melchor Cano, Domingo Báñez, Domingo de Soto, Francisco Suárez, Roberto Bellarmino, among others.
