PhD in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She is currently an associate professor in the area of Biophysics and guides the Graduate Program in Pathology of the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre. Her main research themes involve the study of tumors, such as prostate cancer, by molecular biology and cell biology techniques, such as gene expression, protein, interference RNA and cell culture. Recently it has also devoted itself to studies related to cellular biophysics and inflammation.
