PhD in Social Anthropology by Universidad Autónoma de México. Researcher at CIESAS, Southeast unit. She has been Coordinator and Professor in Medical Anthropology, imparting courses on health and population. Her interests focus on reproductive health, gender-based violence, multicultural context health policies, migration, HIV and, specifically, maternal deaths in indigenous regions and within the national sector.
