PhD in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2003, and post-doctorate from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Universidad de Salamanca. She coordinates the research groups Comunicación Politica y Comportamiento Electoral – linked to the Latin American Association of Political Science (ALACIP) – and Public Opinion, Political Marketing and Electoral Behavior, at UFMG. She is director of the Southeast Regional of the Brazilian Association of Political Science (ABCP), a representative of Brazil to the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Investigadores en Campañas Electorales (ALICE). She is currently a professor in the Department of Political Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (DCP / UFMG) and director of the Southeast Regional of the Brazilian Association of Political Science (ABCP).
