Master’s degree and PhD from the University of Texas, Austin, USA. He was Minister of Public Works and Minister of Mining in Chile, among others. Currently director of the Engineering and Construction Management Department at the School of Engineering in the UC; Planning Director of the Latin American Policy Center of Economics and Social Sciences in the UC (Clapes UC), and director of the Administration of Construction in the UC (MAC UC). In addition, he is director of the Infrastructure Policy Council (CPI) and member of the Chilean Academy of Engineering.
