Dr Zuleta has a BA in Economics from Universidad de los Andes, an MA in Economics from the same institution and a PhD in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University. He is currently director of the Center for Economic Development Studies (CEDE) at the School of Economics, Universidad de los Andes. His research focuses on issues of economic growth, conflict and illicit crops. He has served as a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Private Competitiveness Council, the Colombian Stock Exchange, and the Open Society Foundations, among others. He collaborates regularly with La Silla Vacía, Portafolio and Foco Económico. He is the author of books, titles and academic articles that have been published in national and international media.
