She graduated with honors in Culture Studies at the Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar (Quito); Specialist in Latin American History of the Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Sevilla (España). Specialist in Teaching of Social Science and the History of Colombia. Graduate in Social Science at the Universidad del Valle. She is a member of the Research group Region. She is a member of the Academia de Historia de Palmira.
