Jacques Aprile-Gniset

Jacques Aprile-Gniset: París, 1931-Cali, 2014. He studied at the Urbanism Institute of Paris (1952-1954). He joined the Agency of Technical Cooperation of Foreign Affairs in France. He worked in the plan to Addis Abeba (Ethiopia, 1952-1954). He joined the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, Colombia (1966-1969). To his return to Colombia in 1973, he resumed university teaching in Bogotá and Medellin, where he worked in the Metropolitan Plan of Valle de Aburrá, until he was appointed professor of the Planning Department at the School of architecture at Universidad de Valle, in 1976. He remains linked to this University even after his retirement, as a researcher at the Center of Research in Territory, Building, and Space-CITCE.
