Javier Monroy Díaz
Historian degree from the University of Cartagena and Master’s degree in Urban Studies from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso) Ecuador. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Cartagena and the International Institute of Caribbean Studies. Author of the book "The demolitions of the historical-military heritage in Cartagena (1890-1925): public controversy against the capitalization of urban space", as well as several articles related to the construction of cities, urban imaginaries, hygiene and public health, heritage and urban memory. Currently and since 2016, he is the editor of the journal State & Commons of the Institute of Higher National Studies (IAEN).
