Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences and Master's Degree in Social Studies from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. She has worked as a professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and as coordinator of the Contemporary Urban Problems Research Seedbed, with which she has carried out research on urban segregation and violence, and social movements with territorial emphasis.
