Jorge Alberto Garufi Aglamisis
Born in 1966 in the province of Buenos Aires. Anthropologist, storyteller and gastronaut. Devoted to the study of the alimentary phenomena and everything human beings bring into play when they sit at the table. Convinced that academic knowledge should be accessible for everyone, he has devoted himself to scientific dissemination through publications such as El Conocedor "The Connoisseur", Argentina, Sobremesa "Dinner-table conversation", Spain and Slow (Italy). He also organized numerous university extension activities aimed at sharing multidisciplinary knowledge of different Andalusian artisan food crafts. With a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Universidad de Sevilla, currently, he is a researcher in the Social Research and Participative Action Group (GISAP, by its Spanish initials) from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla, as well as a member of the International Commission of Food Anthropology (ICAF).
