Full-time professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), in the Faculty of Economics and International Relations since semester 2008-2, he has had PRODEP desirable profile since 2010 and is a member of the National System of Researchers Level I since 2013. He is a Civil Engineer specializing in Urban Works from the Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana (1990), Master in Integral Environmental Management from the El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (1998), and PhD in Global Development Studies from the UABC (2008). His areas of interest are environment and sustainable development, public safety and urban development and the public policies associated. He is the author of 4 books, several book chapters and research articles in peer-reviewed and indexed journals, papers in national and/or international congresses, as well as articles published in newsletters.
