Poet, essayist, literary popularizer, reading promoter and editor. He studied Spanish Language and Literature at the UNAM. He has published several books of poetry and a score of literary essays and studies on written culture. He has received the Efrain Huerta National Poetry Prize, the Ramon Lopez Velarde Essay Prize, the Gilberto Owen National Literature Prize and the Aguascalientes National Poetry Prize.
