Full professor at the Department of Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (USP). She has been a visiting professor at Oxford, Leiden, Brown, Columbia, and Princeton, where she has been an academic since 2010. Author of several books. She was curator of a series of exhibitions and, since 2015, acts as assistant curator of the Art Museum of São Paulo (Masp). Besides, she is a columnist for the newspaper Nexo.
