Luis A. Ebensperger

He started his career after obtaining his degree in Biological Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He completed his postgraduate studies at University of Chile, where he obtained his master’s degree in Ecology, and at Boston University, where he obtained his doctorate. His research has been focused on determining the mechanisms, adaptive value and evolution of sociability and cooperative traits in animal species, especially caviomorphic rodents. Currently, his research is carried out as a tenured professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in collaboration with colleagues and students from this and other national and foreign universities.
