Manuel Chu Rubio

Manuel Chu is an economist and university professor. He holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña in Spain, and a PhD in Accounting and Business Sciences by the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). He has studied Public Affairs at the Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and Business School of the University of Minnesota. He also holds a specialization in Corporate Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business (New York University), the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and Duke University. He is a member of the Financial Management Association International. He is an international speaker on finance-related topics, the author of Fundamentos de finanzas: un enfoque peruano (Fundamentals of Finance: A Peruvian Approach), Mis finanzas personales (My Personal Finance), Finanzas aplicadas: teoría y práctica (Applied Finance: Theory and Practice), La creación de valor en las finanzas: mitos y paradigmas (Value Creation in Finance: Myths and Paradigms), and Matemáticas para los negocios (Mathematics for Business); and the co-author of Matemática para las decisiones financieras (Mathematics for Financial Decisions). He has been the Academic Director of Finance at the UPC Graduate School, Academic Director of the San Isidro campus of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), and Director of the Master’s Program in Corporate Finance of the Graduate School of the same university. Currently, he is a research professor in the Corporate Finance Area of CENTRUM PUCP Business School.
