Social Service PhD and social assistant. Specialist in Collective Health by the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and in Social Services by the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), he held a postdoctoral position at the Catholic University of Salvador (UCSal). Currently, Duarte is a full professor at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), a visiting lecturer at UERJ, and the coordinator of two research groups registered within the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), from which he is a scholar.
