María Cristina García Ángel
Master’s degree in Science in Regional Rural Development from the Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo. Her professional experience comes from different sectors, in the social sector, advising technically and organisationally peasant-indigenous groups and organizations in Chiapas and Quintana Roo; in the federal and state governmental sector in areas of wildlife, agricultural sector and indigenous people. She has been a consultant for Natural Protected Areas and international organizations such as FAO and RIMISP. Since 2010, she has been full-time Professor at the Escuela Maya de Estudios Agropecuarios from the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas. She has published articles, book chapters and books. Founding member of the Thematic Network CONACYT Territorial Management for Sustainable Rural Development.
