María del Rosario Prieto

María del Rosario Prieto holds a degree in history from the National University of Cuyo, PhD in Geography and History from the University of Sevilla. She is the head professor of the course Environment and Culture in Pre-Hispanic America and director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology and the museum Salvador Canals Frau at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UNCuyo. She is a senior researcher for the Conicet. She specializes in history and environmental history. She was an invited professor at the Faculty of Geography and History at the University of Sevilla, Complutense University of Madrid and École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. She has received scholarships from the Iberoamerican Cooperation Center, the Higher Council for Scientific Research of Spain, and Conicet. She has published over 100 scientific publications in journals in Argentina and other countries and has made keynote addresses as well as undergraduate and graduate courses at universities in Argentina and other countries. She has been a thesis advisor and received numerous grants in Argentina and other countries.
