María Isabel Pérez López

Microbiologist with a master’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidad de los Andes. His research emphasis is on bacterial resistance, antimicrobial peptides, and biofilms. In 2017, she was a Research Associate in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard University. She is the coordinator of the Biophysics Laboratory and assistant professor of the Molecular Biology, Bacteriology and Food courses at the Universidad de los Andes. She is also a collaborator in different research projects at the Laboratory of Mycology and Phytopathology and at the Center for Microbiological Research. He was a judge in version 20 of the Otto de Greiff National Contest (National University of Colombia). Evaluating member of the Club of the Best of iNNpulsa (Colombia). He has participated in international and national conferences and has written articles related to bacterial resistance from the perfection of lipidomics and bioprospecting.
