Marisa A. Moroni

Marisa A. Moroni holds a PhD degree in History (Escuela de Estudios Hispanoamericanos, Universidad de Sevilla, 2006). She is a tenured Associate Professor in the chair Contemporary Argentine History (1853-2000), National University of La Pampa. She is a National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) adjunct researcher and also a member of the Institute of La Pampa Historical and Social Studies (IEHSOLP-CONICET). She is the author of articles, chapters of books and editor of several books at national and international level about the social history of crime and about justice in the Argentina’s inland provinces from the end of the 19th century to middle 20th century. Her present research interests turn around the democracy transition process from a subnational perspective, and that is why she coordinates several research projects based at different universities in Patagonia. She is the co-director of the Socio-Historical Studies on Democracy Network (RESHIDE).
