Playwright, narrator and poet. She studied Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Founding director of the Escuela de Escritores, SOGEM in Guadalajara, Jalisco. She was an intern at the National Endowment for Arts, in 1993. Awarded with the Premio Juego de Damas, 1988; Premio de Cuento Breve de El Cuento, 1986; Premio de Cuento Breve de El Cuento, 1998; Galardón Radio Mujer en la Cultura, 2004 and Premio Nacional de Novela Jorge Ibargüengoitia, 2007, for Señuelo.
