Mercedes Prieto Noguera
Professor and researcher at the Department of Anthropology, History and Humanities at FLACSO, Ecuador. PhD in Anthropology with a specialty in History from the University of Florida. Her current research explores development history and the states formation in the Andes during the XX century. Her book, published in 2015, is Estado y colonialidad. Mujeres y familias quichuas de la Sierra del Ecuador, 1925-1975 (State and Coloniality. Quichua Women and Families of the Ecuadorian Highlands, 1925-1975). Researcher at the Center of Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge, at the Interdisciplinary Center of Intercultural and Indigenous Studies in Chile, at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, among others.
