PhD and specialist in Asian Culture and Geopolitics. He has worked as a guest researcher at the University of Tsukuba (Japan), the Institute of Developing Economies (Japan), and Taiwan’s National University. Among his publications: Latin America in Latin America in Japanese Financial Cooperation (1992); La Cuenca del Pacífico, nuevo eje de la economía mundial (1992); Mirar al Asia (1995); El regreso del dragón: geopolítica de Asia y el Pacífico (2001); Geopolítica del siglo XXI: el factor asiático (2015) y Confucian Global Governance (2015). He is a profesor and researcher at Universidad Externado de Colombia.
