Bachelor’s degree in History; Master’s degree in Andean History at the Universidad del Valle; PhD in History of America at the Universidad Pablo de Olivade, Spain. Professor at the Universidad del Valle since 2004 and Head of the Humanities School, the History Department, Director of the History Master’s degree Program and faculty representative in the Academic Council of the Universidad del Valle. Among his publications are: Theology of Liberation in Colombia. A Problem of continuities in Evangelical tradition for the poor in Colombia (2005); Franciscanism: an imaginary behind utopia in Nueva Granada on the XVI century in Colombia (Co-authorship with Johannio Marulanda Arbelaez, 2008); Catholic church history in Valle del Cauca 1927-1985, Colombia (2015); An invisibilized prophet – Mgr. Gerardo Valencia Cano (1917-1972), Colombia (2017); Power and the city of Cali. Towards the construction of an urban order. 1910-1959, Colombia (2018).
