Graduated with a BA in International Relations from El Colegio de México and holds an MA in Russian and Eurasian Studies from the European University at Saint Petersburg. He has contributed to academic journals including the Revista de la Universidad de México (UNAM), Istor (CIDE) and Americana (Volograd State University, Russia), as well as Nexos and Este País. His second book will be the forthcoming Limbos rojizos, la nostalgia por el socialismo en Rusia y el mundo poscomunista to be published by El Colegio de México.
