Born in Buenos Aires. He obtained his Teaching Degree in Maths and Physics in 1959 and in Philosophy in 1966 from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). Between 1970 and 1976, Professor of Science Philosophy at Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). Professor of Science Methodology in the PhD course in the School of Economic Sciences Faculty at Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) between 1971 and 1976. During those years, he was Director of the Instituto de Lógica y Filosofía de las Ciencias of the UNLP. Master’s degree in History and Science Philosophy and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Indiana. Since 1983 he is Professor of Philosophy of Science at California State University.
