Forest Engineer by the Costa Rica Institute of Tecnohlogy holding a Joint Master by the University of Los Andes, Colombia and the University of Maryland in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources. Research professor for the courses on Forest Nurseries, Forestry of Forest Plantations and Evaluation and Formulation of Forest Projects. His research and extension activities have been mainly directed towards watershed rehabilitation, economic analysis of natural resources protection, profitability analysis of forest species, incorporation of trees in coffee plantations, financial analysis of productivity in forest and dendro-energy plantations.
