Professor and researcher at the Forest Engineering School of the Costa Rica Institute of Technology. He has a PhD from São Paulo University in Brazil. He is specialized in wood area and has mora the 100 scientific publications around the world, where he discusses multiple topics such as characterization of wood from tropical plantations, bioenergy, wood densification, use of nanotechnology as adhesives for wood properties enhancer, structural designs on wood trusses construction, among others.
