Author of several books on the history of food. Her books gave her many prizes in Brazil and abroad. Somo of her publishes are, Cuisine of the immigrants: memories and income (in co-authorship with Marina Heck DBA/Improvements, Jabuti Award 1999); Flavors of America – Cuba, Jamaica Martinique and Mexico (Editora Senac São Paulo, Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2004); São Paulo: memory and flavor (Editora Unesp, Award of the Académie Internationale de la Gastronomía in 2009); Machado de Assis: Culinary relics (Editora Unesp, First place at the Jabuti Prize 2011) and Art in Brazilian Cuisine (with Leonardo Arroyo, Editora Unesp, 2013, awards from the International Academy of Gastronomy and the Brazilian Academy of Gastronomy).
