Santiago Roca
Leading professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Intellectual Property, Innovation, Competition, Consumer and Commerce (CEPIC) at Universidad ESAN in Lima, Peru. In 2012, he was a member of the Comisión Consultiva para la Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (CTI) and was in charge of developing the new institutional structure and policies in order to invigorate CTI in Peru. Coauthor along with Carolyn Deere from the University of Oxford, independent evaluator of technical assistance programs for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He has been a professor at both Arizona State University (2000 and 2001) and Pennsylvania State University (1985-1987) and has also been a lecturer at the Institute of Social Studies at The Hague, Holland (1981-1982). Master’s degree and PhD in Economics at Cornell University (United States) and is the author of several academic publications.
