Susana Nélida Somoza

Susana Nélida Somoza is a Biochemist (UBA), Master in Public Health (UNNE) and PhD in Cognitive Sciences (UNNE). Based in Ingeniero Juárez, Formosa, in 1976, she was the first biochemist and initiator of the Clinical Analysis Laboratory Service in the hospital of that locality. She also worked in Primary Health Care in Health Zone IV in the western end of Formosa, serving the Criollo, Wichí and Qom communities and training health workers from an interethnic perspective. At the community level, as a member of the Civil Association El Amanecer of Formosa, she has carried out training and education of community leaders in interethnic spaces with different groups throughout the province of Formosa and in-network with other non-provincial organizations, in general health, sexual and reproductive health, and human rights.
