Tita Valencia

Was born in Mexico City in 1937. Novelist, script and essayist writer. Her novel, Minotauromaquia won, in 1976 the Xavier Villarrutia prize, the most prestigious award in Mexican literature. She focused on her career as a concert pianist: graduated from the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico and graduate studies at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. She attended the literary workshops of Juan Rulfo and Juan José Arreola.
